This morning we are up early getting ready for our very first wedding of 2012! Aside from the rain…..we are so stoked to kick off this new year. With that said, I figure its only fitting to finish of the “Best of 2011” series, so this is the final category, today we are all about the party. After the pre-ceremony jitters, the formal family photos, and the bride and groom portraits are done, its party time. What makes a “top reception” photo? To me, the reception is full of a range of emotions and best captured in stealth mode – this is where we excel most. Catching some of the split second moments that can happen literally in a blink of an eye. Receptions are often full of laughs and smiles but we’ve seen our fair share of tears being shed as well – especially during “toasts”. If you’ve ever seen me photograph a wedding you’ll notice that once the dancefloor gets bumpin’ I will work my way right out in there in the middle of the action….I love me some rad dance shots and there are a few in today’s set.
So in all of these photos that I selected you will see the range of emotions – the happy, the excited, the sad, the reminiscent…perhaps even “the drunk” 😉 These are what makes wedding receptions so much fun to be a part of. I hope you all have enjoyed reading this “best of” series, I have really enjoyed putting them together to showcase for you all!
