Marina Village Wedding – Holly & Chris
Holly and Chris really have a special place in our hearts. Cole met Chris years ago while walking home one day back in our college days at SDSU. Cole was eavesdropping on a convo Chris was having with someone about a San Diego band Cole and I love. They got to talking and the rest is history. We would see Chris at the occasional punk show and eventually Holly started coming along too.
When Holly and Chris reached out to us to photograph their wedding we were both flattered and honored that our friends wanted us to capture the biggest day of their lives. I don’t think there is a more laid back couple than these two. While I will say I think Holly is a total bad ass she is a very “go with the flow” kind of gal and I loved hanging out with her. Chris is a very caring genuine guy and those are the types of friends we love to have.
Chris and Holly were married in Balboa Park at the Natural History Museum on a picture perfect San Diego day. After the ceremony we cruised around the park to get some pictures and then off we went to Marina Village for the party. 🙂
Holly and Chris arranged for Lion dancers to perform for all of their guests during the reception. It was the first time I had ever seen this performance and can I just say it was amazing! The extravagant costumes accompanied with the music you can feel in your chest had all of the guests including us in awe.
Holly and Chris, you both are amazing individuals and even better together! We loved spending the day with you and celebrating you guys. 🙂  Cheers!
XO

Paige Smith - I really like how you use the couple as a focal point and still have the background blended perfectly behind them. This is a skill I have yet to achieve. Also, not being afraid of black, white and sepia tone really is so fun to work with. http://www.lustrestudio.com
