This wedding held a special place in my heart as soon as Jane had contacted me about shooting her wedding. Jane contacted me and right away had told me that she thinks she needs to find a new photographer for her wedding because she thinks her already booked photographer was a scam, my heart sank instantly. Truth be told I already had a hunch who that scam artist photographer was thanks to the news and the “Turko files” and I was correct, it was him and yes it was a scam. I won’t go into further details other than to say, thank goodness their credit card company reimbursed them all the money & of course thank goodness they found a legitimate photographer who cares for his clients like no other – ME!
Jane and Tom’s wedding was gorgeous, as they all certainly are at The Grand Tradition Estate in Fallbrook – we love shooting over there 🙂 A couple memorable moments were at the ceremony instead of a sand ceremony they poured into a large glass a glass of fish oil and a glass of maple syrup – each representing their heritage, we all thought that was pretty awesome and clever. In addition there were some reception surprises as well including a traditional Hawaiian dance performed by one of Jane’s best friends and Jane even surprised her new hubby with a performance of her own as she sang to him….killer! Still find it funny that in over 60 weddings so far I had never had any bride do that and then we had it happen these two weddings in a row! …But Jane was definitely the first and gets that award.
The reception was MC’ed and rockin’ and rollin’ by the always entertaining and respectable DJ Paul Peterson of High Energy DJ Service. Not only do DJ’s need to be good on the mic but they also need to be able to get people on the dance floor and get the party going….Paul always makes that happen!
On to the photos….Jane & Tom, we had soooo much fun hanging out with you, welcome back to reality from your “euro-honeymoon” and we wish you both nothing but the best.
