Wow! It is really hard to believe that 2013 is over…the year has literally flown by. Each year I spend some time to put together a final blog post (or two) that is a collection of our favorite images of the year. It’s always a great way to see a years worth of work in a single place but more importantly, a years worth of split second moments captured and a years worth of the amazing brides & grooms we had the pleasure of working with and in many cases, now call great friends. That has always been our favorite part of being wedding photographers. The connection we make with our lovely couples and all the lovely people we get to meet that we wouldn’t otherwise have.
So, what happened in 2013?
2013 was a remarkable year for Cole Joseph Photography.
To me, it was a year that a matured, sophisticated and refined natural photo style emerged.
This year our work I felt truly captured and reflected the wedding day as it naturally unfolded but also our clients unique personalities. We captured “them”, and to me, that is among our most important goal within each couple we work with. This was also the year that we started to visualize shots differently, more unique and creative candid captures of moments. Overall, I’d say it was a solid year and we are more enthusiastic about 2014 than ever before! In addition to having the chance to work with so many awesome couples as we did this year, we also had the pleasure of working alongside some of San Diego’s top wedding vendors. Here are some notable vendors that we highly recommend working with if you are a prospective bride or groom.

Rene & Jan – Super Secret Surprise Las Vegas Wedding
Each year, Nicole and I head to Las Vegas the week before Thanksgiving for the Thanksgiving dinner/event that Nicole’s dad Rene & longtime girlfriend Jan host. This year they had something up their sleeves and kicked off the dinner by announcing that they were getting married…and right then and there we watched them get married! What a great surprise, congrats!
