This past Thursday Nicole and I were invited to join my sister “Chef Kat”, her boyfriend Shane & their friend Brianna at 100 Wines Hillcrest for dinner. Every time I have been there thus far its been PACKED, but since it was during the week and we got their soon after it opened it wasn’t jam packed yet, which was perfect for me because I had just picked up a brand new lens that I wanted to try out on my D800. The Nikon 16-35 f/4 was a perfect lens for this small cute and cozy restaurant and since it wasn’t packed yet I decided to roam the restaurant a bit and grab some fun shots – for all of you camera peeps out there all of the photos posted below were taken with the Nikon D800, 16-35 lens and hand-held with slow shutter speeds with available light only 🙂
But enough about camera stuff….we had an amazing meal and I can’t wait to go back and you should too! Not because its my sisters restaurant but because the food and service is amazing. My favorite items were the Spanikopita flatbread, the Shrimp skewer and for dessert the cinnamon roll with caramelized bananas on top was out of this world!
Do yourself a favor and next time you are feeling adventurous and want to try a new place or have a nice meal out, put 100 Wines Hillcrest at the top of your list, you’ll be glad that you did!
This is what I look like when waiting for my sister to show up… 🙂
