From the very first time Natalie & PJ came over to tell us about their perfect Mt Woodson Castle wedding we were hooked. The entire meeting was flawless, we all sat and chatted and chatted and it just felt “right”. When they left the house, Nicole and I both high fived each other on a great meeting and then hoped they’d choose to work with us for their Mt Woodson Castle wedding! Lucky for us, the feeling was mutual and they choose to move forward with us. Next on the list was heading up to San Juan Capistrano for an awesomely fun time during their engagement session where we also got to meet their little 4-legged baby – Charlie. The thing with Natalie & PJ is, they are so great to work with in front of the camera because they genuinely love each other so much…showing it is effortless for them. They way they look at each other, laugh with each other, play with Charlie together and the way they hold each other. For anyone that knows them personally though, they can attest that, while that is all true, each of them on the inside has a heart of gold too. It was for all of these reasons that Nicole and I had been anxiously awaiting their big day and even with a triple digit heatwave August weekend, nothing could put a damper on Natalie & PJ’s wedding day.

How freakin’ cute are these ladies?!
While the girls were jumping on the bed and drinking champagne…PJ and the fellas were sippin’ on some cold PBR!
One of the more emotional moments of the wedding day for me was watching PJ open up his gift from Natalie… it was hard for me not to get a bit choked up watching his reaction to his custom cufflinks with a photo of his late grandfather.
Is it me or does Natalie just have that movie start look to her?
On this 100 degree weather day with max humidity, the super cute paper fans were in full use throughout the day!
Looooooove this shot of Natalie walking down the steps to see PJ for the first time for their 1st look!!
…and THIS is why 1st looks are the best 🙂
Natalie’s bouquet was gorgeous!
I love this shot of PJ squeezing tight both of his most important women in his life…
The warm afternoon light coming through the trees was a welcomed addition to wrap up our portraits with these two.
Details, Details, Details!!! They had a ton of amazing details…here they are!
Mt Woodson Castle looked so majestic about 30 min after sundown…
Towards the end of the night Natalie & PJ wanted to sneak off for some quick alone time to take a moment to themselves….we obviously agreed that would be a really great idea too, and came up with this for them…
