Nicole and I truly appreciate genuine, good people. We are extremely fortunate that we continually have the privilege of working with so many great couples and Leah & Lance are no exception. You might recall Leah and Lance from our blog for their rad engagement session we did months ago. Despite being yet another Sea World match, Nicole and I never really “knew” Leah or Lance too well while working at Sea World. Even though I do recall playing on the same Sea World softball team as both Lance & his twin Jared – The Ligers! But I digress… the point I am trying to make is throughout the wedding planning process and through the entire wedding day we truly felt like we’ve been close friends of theirs for years and we were both talking about how genuinely awesome these two are. But not only them, both sides of the bridal party were a dream to work with, we were on the path for greatness with their wedding photos and I believe we hit a home-run!
It was a whirlwind of a day starting out with the ladies getting dolled up by Brides By Brittany Downtown at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront before running down to the fellas getting ready at Leah & Lance’s house before going to Corpus Christy Church for a beautiful ceremony. We were then Coronado bound, starting at The Hotel Del for photos and then the always nice Coronado Community Center – yes we certainly were all over the map on this day!
During the reception, one memorable moment was during the toasts when one of Leah’s bridesmaids & Lance’s groomsmen who unfortunately couldn’t attend the wedding made a surprise recorded speech that was played during the toasts. Well and also the amazing roast, I mean toast, that Lance’s twin Jared gave and had everyone, including Nicole and I laughing hysterically.
In addition to having Greg from San Diego Party Time DJ’s getting the dancefloor groovin’ we had our very own Studiobooth setup and boy o boy was it a blast. People were having a ball hamming it up for the camera in our Studiobooth – you got to check out some of these photos at the bottom of the post!
It was truly one heck of a celebration for these two and we had an absolute blast. Not only on their wedding day but getting to know them better through the process. Leah and Lance, congrats and welcome back, we hope Fiji was amazing and thanks for letting us document your big day for you two 🙂
